We started with five hearty riders from Pine Valley on Saturday, and enjoyed 35 degree temps to start, then descended into the fog and mist which might have increased the temperature, but also made it seem far colder. We didn't really get warmed up until we had climbed our way toward Boulevard. No matter, as the wind was blowing without our knowledge and our nice tailwind had us feeling no pain to the tower, even enjoying a nicely repaved section of Hwy 94. Once we got the tower, reality set in and we realized we had dug ourselves a hole that could only be filled in with hard work into a headwind. It was on. Bill and Deanna decided to do the regular route, Maria and Bob decided to add La Posta and Kitchen. All in all, a very enjoyable day amongst the desertarti.
Turns out the 'Holland HC' is not of this earth, and neither is Bill Holland
Deana receiving a UFO delivery of Endurobites... The Maslatch brothers would be proud of you.
What can we say, we hope that Maria returns. She was such a nice girl.
